A little note: it has been a year now since I was diagnosed with cancer. For the most part I try to live with the terminality of the thing, but as any cancer patient knows the pain can be, at times, overwhelming. The only relief I get from the pain is the medication and lying down. I wrote most of my novels between 2005 and 2009 but I didn’t edit and publish them until after I received the bad news. Most of this work has been done from my bed while lying. Have you ever tried to type from bed? Personally, I didn’t think it could be done. The reality of the matter is I want to get these novels published and out into the world before something bad did happen so I am finishing them at a rate of one a month with a staff of one, myself. I wrote these novels and stories to entertain the world, I hope you enjoy them. Thank you for your support, Thomas.

SEX SELECTION ABORTION -- THE DESTRUCTION OF THE HUMAN RACE.
ANOTHER GLOBAL DISASTER LOOMIG ON THE HORIZON
POSTED TO THE SEOUL TIMES NOVEMBER 17, 2008
BY COLUMNIST THOMAS EMMON PISANO
THE ARTICLE:
Historically, this is nothing new, the selection of male children over female. As early as the dark days of our planet's history, evidence has been found, that certain geographical areas of our world's population has practiced sex selection by using infanticide. The midwives in India, the Daiz, have used a technique where the newborn infant girls were taken and held in such a way upon removal, that it snapped the spinal cord and then they were declared stillborn. This was a Hindu tradition and considered acceptable. Among certain Native American tribes newborn baby girls were left in the wild to die after birth because of the hardships faced by the supposedly less hardy girl babies. In China, before the prenatal determination process was invented, newborn baby girls were abandoned so the family would not have to suffer with the care of the unwanted daughters. I have found instance after instance telling of the many primitive cultures practicing similar forms of female infanticide, shocking but true. Infanticide persisted into the 20th century unnoticed and ignored mainly because it was expedient to do so.
Abortion is nothing new as well; in the 1100's Cambodian, Malaysian and Siamese doctors along with other health practitioners would pound a woman on her belly with a mallet to induce the abortion of an unwanted birth. This was a barbaric practice to say the least; but what are you going to do when you are a primitive and want to terminate a pregnancy? I suppose the ends do justify the means in many instances. In ancient Greece, the Hippocratic Oath forbade the practice of abortion. I am not going to debate the abortion issue here only one of the particulars. Only fetal sex and race selection abortion is being scrutinized in this piece, a despicable type of discrimination, discrimination in the womb. This is the ugliest form of misogyny, a misogyny that kills girls.
Since the invention and use of ultrasound equipment and its distribution around the world, the practice of prenatal sex selection has mushroomed into a crisis of epidemic proportions. In parts of the world like India, The People's Republic of China, South Korea, Taiwan, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Guinea, East Asia, North Africa, Canada and The United States prenatal sex and race selection is being prominently practiced. North Korea has not been involved in this form of infanticide. A worldwide estimate has put the results of sex selection abortions at around 200 million fetal girls in the last twenty years, prior to 2006. These are appalling numbers. In India between 1985 and 2005 an estimated 10 million female fetuses were aborted. The ratio for normal natural selection births is 105:100 male to female respectively but in rural China; the ratio is 135:100 male to female births in 2002, a drastic imbalance due to these prenatal sex selection practices.
Recently, emerging countries, realizing the negative natural impact that sex selection abortion is having on their societies, have banned the practice. The earliest laws banning this form of abortion and infanticide were put in force by the Soviet Union in 1919, Iceland in 1935, and Sweden in 1938. The Indian prime minister Singh condemned the practice and India, in its infinite wisdom, banned prenatal sex screening in 1994 after a realization of the consequences and banned sex selection abortion in 2002, it is now illegal to predetermine the sex of a fetus in that country. In 2003, the Chinese government banned sex selection abortion; maybe this was too late considering the 'missing girl problem' that has now arisen in that country with the lack of available mates approaching for the male population by 2020. In Canada, this problem has become an ethical and legal conundrum and in the United States where abortion rights are protected by the constitution, many lawmakers see this as a serious problem with ramifications affecting certain segments of our population. Many immigrants from Asia and many Muslim countries have taken advantage of our laws to follow their misogynistic traditions. Canada and America are havens at the moment for this heinous practice because of our constitutional freedoms, which are being exploited in this matter.
A poll taken in 2006, (Zogley and USA Today), show that 86% of those polled wanted sex selection abortion banned in this country, and that race selection abortion was not favored in that same poll either. Patriarchy and racial discrimination in the womb, are being practiced at abortion clinics in minority depressed neighborhoods here in America and it is suspected they specifically target female and black fetuses for elimination according to several reliable sources.
The Susan B. Anthony Parental Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, sponsored by congressmen Trent Franks of Arizona and Jeff Fortenberry of Nebraska, is designed to stop or at the very least slow down these forms of discrimination (sex and race selection abortion). Tough legislation needs to be put in place so that these forms of discrimination are not allowed to take advantage of our constitutional rights. America needs to be aware of these actions, which are occurring under our very noses. These forms of abortion are being hidden from our view by the various cultural mystiques that these citizens claim are religious and social heritages. They want us to allow these crimes against nature to continue. The American people are not naive nor are we stupid to the facts; sex and race selection abortion destroys the natural balance provided for the propagation of our species and to tamper with that balance on such a large scale will surely reduce us to extinction if we let it persist.
Human Trafficking for Commerace, Another Modern Day Atrocity
June 20, 2009

It is slavery, out and out, a violation of all the tenets of human rights, slavery! There is this common practice that is taking place all over the world. I am talking of human trafficking for profit. Included in this crime are those who are forced into servitude for commercial sexual exploitation. Even in America, it is hidden here and there, but the United States works hard to seek out and destroy those who wish to violate the basic rights that all should have, our freedom. It is essential that we never loose sight of the most precious gift we all possess, be thankful we are Americans.
It is estimated that close to 13 million people are being held in forced labor at the time this article was written (6-17-09). One of the world's major source countries for this form of human violation is North Korea. Every year tens of thousands cross illegally into China to escape the desperate situation that exists in North Korea. To escape economic privation, famine, and political persecution, these people run the risk of being put in prison or sent back to where they came from. Mostly this involves North Korean women and girls who cross the border into China lured by hustlers who promise them food, employment, and freedom, only to be tricked, and in most cases forced into marriage rings and or commercial sexual prostitution. Sometimes these unfortunate men, woman and children find themselves in forced labor camps, with no way of escaping or getting word to anyone who could help them. North Korea is now ranked as a Tier 3 country. "Countries that neither satisfy the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking nor demonstrate a significant effort to do so. Countries in this tier are subject to potential non–humanitarian and non-trade sanctions."(Trafficking Victims Protection Act T.V.P.A.)
Another source country is Israel for the trafficking of human beings for various aspects of forced labor specially those exploited sexually. Various facets of organized crime use Israel as a transfer point for their illicit trade. Israel is a tier 2 country because its interior ministry is inactive on the subject of human trafficking. If you are not a citizen you do not get any sympathy from the government if you are a liberated trafficking victim, no protection and no safety from those who have held you in bondage before. The problem is that all of the women brought to Israel for the sex industry are not citizens of Israel so they do not get any help from the government. This is according to the Jerusalem Post's Ruth Eglash in her report 6/3/08.
The virtual sex industry advertises from Israel the prostitution services available. That has become one of the governments new projects the curtailing of this advertizing, at this time the Israeli government has proposed legistration to stop this form of advertizing.
Is Israel a human trafficking haven? Women from Russia are traded at cattle like auctions by the Russian Mob. This is one of the things they smuggle when they bring weapons into Israel. Along with the smuggling of the weapons is the smuggling of the women kidnapped or coerced into servitude. They bring them up through the Egyptian desert with their loads of weapons. It is reported that close to 4,000 women are brought into Israel annually for the sexual slavery business. These women, most of them are promised a better life and good employment, all kinds of promises are made with few of them ever fulfilled, and most of them will never see their dreams realized. Then once they are in-route to Israel across the vast desert they are relieved of their passports and other important property, if they have such, and then taken into slavery usually at gunpoint. All hope is lost as they cross into Israel and are forced to work in the virtual sex industry and in brothels, many of these people are never heard from again. Israel is trying to stop this problem, but this will take a lot more time.
The International Labor Organization, the U.N. agency responsible for addressing labor standards, employment and social protection issues, uses their influence to put pressure on source countries by using sanctions. It is believed that these forms of forced labor pose a multi-dimensional threat, depleting people worldwide of their human rights. These forms of commercial forced labor cause a breakdown in the social structure and it deprives countries of its human capital, thus making it hard to achieve economic growth. These problems also present a global health risk, and it helps organized crime prosper and grow. (The global health risk should be obvious; AIDS, Tuberculosis, and the like.)
According to the T.V.P.A., which uses the U.S. State Department to estimate that, 150 countries worldwide have a significant number of victims that are trafficked across their borders? The yearly financial gain from the smuggling of humans to be held in the forced sex industry is about 70 plus million.
You have seen that there are millions of sights on the internet that are sexual in nature; it is a great large scale business, virtual pornography. Many of the people depicted are victims of this above-mentioned abuse; they are slaves with no rights or freedom. Makes you think doesn't it?
The unscrupulous will profit from the blood, sweat, and hard labors of those whom they exploit. Their lust and greed are animalistic in its very nature. We cannot allow anyone to profit from the miseries of others. From the beginning of history we have been enslaving one another, seems barbaric and downright uncivilized to me. Greed, lust, exploitation, thievery, lying and cheating in business and barbarisms of the most unimaginable kinds are prospering in this world today. How can we heal what is ailing the world? We must act sensibly by discarding our petty wants and desires for the well being of the human race before our world is destroyed by our actions.
