THE REVENGE OF THE GIANT RAT
    or

      THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEMON

This is the last book in the on-going saga of Captain Jonathan Teague, the final story in this trilogy, has finally been released.

Here is an excerpt from THE REVENGE OF THE GIANT RAT:

...Finally, my eyes got heavy and Doreen led me back to my bed, she turned down the lamp and returned to the bed, I was about to turn down the comforter when…

“Timothy, wait, come sleep with me down in my apartments, please.”  Doreen had that lost look on her face and it made me hot to see that sweetness here in my bedchamber, but I was exhausted. I pulled back the covers and…

“I have a better idea, Timothy, let me stay here with you tonight, besides I hate that we have separate bedrooms, we should always sleep in the same bed together.”  I looked at her.  I was actually stunned at her confession.  I too didn’t like this separate bedroom arrangement.

“That’s funny, love I feel the same way about the sleeping situation as well.”

She began to giggle at me and she sat on the edge of the bed, “well it seems we both had the same thought but didn’t say anything to the other, how obvious is that.  How are we going to remedy this problem?  We both want to sleep together every night, my god Timothy it is like we are courting within the walls of our own home.”  She stood and was totally amazed at how far apart we were.  “I am so sorry that this has happened.  I am going to make this right again.”  She said quietly.

I was standing now and Doreen reached over and pulled down the bed covers and before anyone could re-act, Bumbuii the Rat was in the middle of the bed coming up out of it at us, Doreen screamed as the rat emerged from the middle of our place of slumber.  He stood now as tall as the chandelier and was still standing up right in the middle of the bed, soiling the sheets with his bloody paws. He swung his claws at us and snarled, whipping his tail about, once hitting Doreen on the cheek with its tip.

The Rat was fortunately, too big and too clumsy to catch us in this room; we ran for the door and closed it behind us with a slam.

“You could see him?”  I asked my wife.

“Yes, as big as day, he was real, I think, big, too big.”  She rubbed the spot where she had been hit.  I walked over to inspect the damage that the magical Rat had inflicted upon her cheek.  It was red and had grown slightly swollen, this angered me, and this wound was close to Doreen’s eye.

“I think our Rat is becoming real again, and when he becomes real he becomes killable.  I wish to exterminate this rodent, please be real for me Mr. Rodent.”  Doreen was listening at the door.

“Hear anything, let me listen.”  I put my ear to the door, I could hear thrashing about in there.  I felt an anxiety attack, my stomach turned to hear the noise through the door.  I turned the handle and pulled open the door ever so slightly.  I peeked into the chamber the lights were still dim.  I could see nothing I pulled it open and stood.  In the dim light, I saw no Rat, but then again I would wait to inspect the room during the light of day.

“Come on Doreen let's get out of here may I stay at your bed tonight?”  She smiled and pulled the door closed as we walked away...
